It would sure help newbies get up to speed quicker with PH if there some step-by-step tutorials for setup, basic macros, triggers, times events, etc., more advanced functions in macros, use of groups, use of Multi-X, Virtual X10, etc.

If there are none out there, I'll try to generate some as I learn PH myself and post them here and/or to the author to put on the site in a tutorial section.

Robert,

I totally agree!!.  Being a developer, documentation is not where my strengths lie.

I remember from a previous post that you had started PowerHome with the beta version.  Unfortunately, this version does not include a demo database.  I will try to convert the demo database so that it will work with the beta so you can see some examples of actual triggers, macros, etc.  I know this has helped many users in the past but realize that it still is not a substitute for a good tutorial.  One of my top priorities is to create wizards within the PowerHome environment as well as some tutorials.  However, anything that you generate would be more than welcome and I would love to place on the web and make available for the entire community (giving you full credit of course ).

I'll post a general forum message when I have the demo database complete.

Dave.

Hello,

I am a newbie in need of a good step by step tutorial, I am having a hard time understanding how to set up PH within the different screens like control center, triggers, etc. I was able to setup a controller (PowerLinc usb 1132), but all I can do is control a module with Palm Pad. Also, Device Status screen show nothing. Any resources, I would be very grateful. Wow, there is so much to learn in this program.

That would be awesome, Dave. It doesn't have to be a
full tutorial. Just cover the biggest pitfalls or
something like that.

I agree with this, especially for newbies hoping to
learn more.

By the way, just in case anyone's interested. My cousin George has a few doggles eyewear for sale.
If anyone's interested, feel free to PM me.
