Trying to get this to work with buttons for Groups 2-5. Group 1 works just fine. I added links with group and button numbers with no results.

Any ideas?

Maybe this unit is broken, or, too old. I just tried to add it to the ISY and got a few errors when using Autodiscovery. Stating that it was a ControLinc worked, however. That strategy did not work in PH.

After adding to the ISY, I'm now seeing Group 1 and 5 in PH.

It sounds like the links were not getting written in the ControLinc by PH. A device will not send a Group protocol sequence until the specific button has a Controller link so it knows where to send the Group Cleanup Direct message. Once the ISY added the links pointing to the ISY PLM a Group Broadcast message is sent by the ControLinc which has no specific destination address. So long as the PH PLM has the needed link it will trigger on a Group Broadcast message even though the ControLinc does not send a Group Cleanup Direct to PH..

Interesting. I'm only seeing button groups 1 and 5. 2-4 are MIA. Also, I saw group 1 as soon as I plugged it in, before linking anything.

The PH forum will not accept image files. Do you have somewhere an image of the Links tab for the ControLinc as the Current Device can be hosted with a link to the image in the forum. It sounds like the PH PLM does not have the required the links or they have the wrong Group numbers. Could be the same with the ControLinc, the right number of links but the wrong information. Depending on how the ControLinc was added to the ISY it would erase the PH generated links in the ControLinc.

PH is using a PLM different from the ISY?
?

Sure...

Yes. The ISY has it's own PLM.

The definitions look good. Once PH creates them (FLAGGED CREATE) I would expect the ControLinc to send Group protocol messages to the PLM.

Those were set up yesterday. It's been so long since I was this deep into it, I can't recall if I need to do anything to get that to happen.

OK, I got it. I just disconnected PH from the PLM and reconnected. Thanks!

Tony,

Did you get your ControlLinc working?

Dave.
