Support is definately planned. They have upgraded the what they call the "SDK" (actually just an activex interface into ActiveHome Pro) so that separate address and commands can be sent. Since it doesnt look like they'll be releasing the actual protocol anytime soon, I'll just proceed with what we've got.

Keep in mind that using the "SDK" will still require ActiveHome Pro installed.

Im currently adding support for Insteon and UPB. The CM15A will be coming after Ive completed these.

Dave.

...there are so many known issues with that interface. That's why we won't even sell it on our site.

Just following up, any progress on adding the cm15a? I just bought the software, but I only have CM17a and cm15a, so no x10 triggers. Should I just get a new controller like a cm11a that can do send and recieve, or should I wait for cm15a support?

Tom,

I will be adding the support for the CM15A (through the controllers plug-in interface when it is released). We're still looking at probably a couple of months though since it appears to be a fairly low priority controller amongst the user community.

My current opinion of the CM15A is pretty low and I would get a different X10 controller myself. However, I know some users swear by them and perhaps they've improved in the 2 years since I purchased my CM15A. If waiting a couple more months is not too painful, you may want to see how well the CM15A works for you. If two months is too long, then I would probably recommend the CM11A (if it's still available) or a PowerLinc 1132U.

Dave.

Dave,

As more than 3 years have passed, I imagine you decided to not develop this interface ? This interface is perfectly working for me. It has a good rf range and I do not see any real problems. By the way, I've seen that SDK includes the complete protocol.

Johnny,

Support for the CM15A is provided via the ActiveHome SDK in the latest beta version 2.1.4. You can access the 2.1.4 thread (with download links) from here: http://power-home.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2723&PN=2

Hope this helps,

Dave.
