From Insteon Blog:
================
Updates from Ken - July 28
The following is a letter sent out to our Insteon Hub users:

Hi everyone,

I know it has been a few weeks since I provided an update to the
entire Insteon community. We have had our heads down on a
variety of efforts and it is time to let you know where we are at
again. We hope you are as excited as we are about the direction
we are headed!

Hub Subscriptions

Again, thank you to those who have already placed orders! And if
you have not placed one, it is not too late to place an order and
prevent an interruption of your Hub services. Please order before
August 1 at: https://www.insteon.com/store

On-Hand Inventory

We have great news to share! We expect to be able to take orders
for on-hand inventory by mid-August. We are converting to a new
e-commerce shopping platform that will give us improved
functionality and we are currently working on that integration.

As a reminder, our on-hand inventory will be limited by product
types - and limited availability on top of that. And as previously
mentioned, we do have orders in process at our factories for
additional units and a greater scope of product, but those are much
longer lead times before they hit our warehouse.

Customer Support

We are slowly (but surely) working through our backlog of customer
email and form submission inquiries. While we have made
progress, we realize it’s far from ideal so we are making dedicated
efforts to add resources and improve our processes.

We recently moved to a more robust customer contact platform that
will allow us to respond in a much more streamlined and efficient
manner. If you have unanswered inquiries, please expect to get
more details from us in the coming days.

Insteon Forum

We are excited to share that the Insteon Support Community forum
is back online! We are still working on a few integration bugs since
we moved to a new server, but we are ready for people to get back
to posting and supporting each other. We encourage you to
login/sign up to utilize this peer-to-peer resource:
https://forum.insteon.com

Also, be sure to join the Insteon Facebook group for additional
community support:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/757676351098971

Surveys

We will be conducting surveys on topics ranging from app feature
requests to inventory priority requests. Things like what third-party
software and hardware you use so we can help prioritize our further
integration with them. Or, to let us know what devices you’d like us
to add support for in the Insteon for Lighting app. We want your
voice to help guide us in our roadmap.

Ken

I have had a number of nice communications with the folks at the revitalized www.insteon.com store.

They appear to be working hard get established and obtain Insteon stock.

Here is a recent email exchange between myself and Joanne in their support group.
Code:
Hi Ken,
Thank you so much for your continued support! Keypads, dimmers and other products are a critical parts of the Insteon product line and it is on our list of products that we want to offer again. For updates on products (and about Insteon, in general), please follow us @insteon on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and sign up for our newsletter on https://www.insteon.com/.

Joanne-
Many thanks for your response. I'm rooting for y'all BIG TIME. Insteon is just too good a product to die out. There is nothing that even comes close. I've been a pioneer with it for 3 decades using Dave Howard's PowerHome amazing control software that exceeds anythig else on the market and can do anything.

Any fearless forecasts (I won't hold you to them) of when you hope to have KPLs, switches back on the market?

Hi Ken,
Hopefully in October...fingers crossed :). Thank you for your support.

They anticipate getting the basic devices in inventory like KeyPads, switches/dimmers, etc.

Dave I recommend you make contact with this new group. SmartHome did a terrible job of promoting PowerHome and this might be a nice opportunity to reestablish a market presence and get the rewards you deserve for such excellent software.

Tony- your Insteon knowledge might be useful to this new group too, and you could bea big help in guiding them.

Latest email blast...

Hi all,

You didn’t hear from me for a while and, now, twice in two weeks.

As I have said, listening to the Insteon Family is important to us. As such, I am pleased to announce our first ‘Lunch with Insteon’ webinar this Friday at 12pm PDT. It will be a great chance to get updates on the company and ask questions. In addition, we will be covering some of the most common product questions. I hope you can join us! To register, please click on the zoom link below (Please note space is limited).

As always, thanks for your patience and supporting us on the journey and I look forward to meeting some of you on Friday.

Without sharing my source, I have it on pretty good authority that they
will be selling new-production components of the most popular types
before the end of Oct. Still, even from a worthy source I'll believe it
when I see it, but the info is encouraging. Point is, if you were about
to give up on Insteon, or do a mass buy off eBay, you may want to
wait a month.

Update: PLMs will be back in stock sometime in Q1 2023, but they're
working on a refurbishment service if yours dies in the meantime.
