Hi - I have an original Remotelinc that worked with PH when I first got it, but then I put it on a shelf (without batteries) and I want to get it to work again. After some futzing I deleted it and following the instructions here:

http://www.myx10.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1567&KW=remot elinc

So I started over.   I added it to Units and defined it as a RemoteLinc. I went into Insteon Explorer and added 5 responder links to the PLM (group 1-6, all Button 0) and after unchecking the disable flag, putting the Remotelinc into linking mode, did a save. That didn't get me to where I wanted. I've been futzing with it for a while now, and here's what I observe...

All On and All Off from the RemoteLinc show up in PH Status.   Pressing individual buttons on the RemoteLinc doesn't show up (that's what I want to fix).   In Insteon Explorer the Ctrl Link Status is FLAGGED_CREATE (Resp Link Status is VERIFIED).

Looking at the IE Raw Insteon Window, the Remotelinc broadcasts only when I press ALL On, All Off. I guess I need to create links to the buttons to get it to broadcast from the buttons. The links are set up, how do I get them programmed to the Remotelinc?

PH does "give up" on the RL, so when I check clearFailed and Save, I see it try to create CTLR Links - but there are a lot of INSTEON EXT TIMEOUT in the Raw Log. So maybe the RL can transmit but can't receive? :-{

Thanks!
/j
