Been a long time since I programmed PH, but I was intrigued with a low price on a SmartHome wireless thermostat (2441ZTH). With the current Black Friday discounts I can get it for $32. What I need it for is as a remote humidity sensor. My old humidity contact sensor failed years ago (not robust enough to handle the humidity of a bathroom apparently ), so I was considering this device. It seems like overkill from a physical presence standpoint in a bathroom, but I was wondering how it reports humidity? I would like it to transmit an Insteon command once the preset high humidity is reached so PH can actuate a skylight to open. The thermostat commands in the PH threads seems "fragile." Does anyone have experience with these devices and how they report humidity?
